Vardanis, Alex – 4-Piece 8'0" 6wt, FE Thomas Clone

Description Particulars For your consideration is an Alex Vardanis nodeless bamboo rod based on an F.E. Thomas model from 1935. This is an 8' 0" four-piece for a 6 weight line weighing 4.65 ounces on my scale. This rod consists of lightly tempered, nodeless cane with burnt orange wraps. The 5 3/4" grip is followed by a well modeled long grain spacer with a nickel silver cap and ring. In my hand, the action is medium-fast. Alex fashioned this after a 1935 4-piece FE Thomas rod he had in hand. A very well made nodeless rod from this London, Ontario builder.
