Hermes Ulises Cerón is a first-generation coffee farmer who has found his greatest passion in coffee. Together with his family, he works at El Aguacate Farm, located in the Los Alpes village in the municipality of El Tablón de Gómez, Nariño. Two coffee varieties are grown on the farm: Geisha and Castillo. There are 2,000 Geisha trees, 5 years old, and 3,500 Castillo trees, 7 years old. Three fertilizations are carried out per year, along with organic fertilization using post-harvest byproducts such as coffee pulp and wastewater. The total production of the Geisha variety on the farm is 3,000kg of dried parchment.
