Smaller pieces suit single volumes and quarter-bindings; the full width sheets suit batch work and larger cases. Which cut size do you need? The 270 × 245 mm piece is the practical choice for a single volume, a spine strip or a repair patch, and it posts flat with your other cloths. The 1365 × 245 mm strip covers several spines or a set of small cases from the one length, so the grain and the colour stay consistent across the set. The two large sheets — 1365 × 500 mm and 1365 × 1000 mm — are for full case covering and batch work, where you want to cut every case from a single sheet rather than joining pieces. Please note the large sheets — 1365 × 500 mm and 1365 × 1000 mm — will be packed in the individual parcel, in order to avoid damaging.
