True to size with an empire waist. We recommend sizing up if you prefer a less fitted bust or less of an empire waist. Jan 2026 fit update: We added 2cm to the length from shoulder to the elastic waist, to give slightly more room in the bust area. This fabric is also slightly lighter than the fabric used for our Black women's twirl dress.
