Ring Tower (Version 2) by Holland Magic Studio, Frans Reijnier

A high‑end remake of Wolfgang Grosskopf’s Ring Tower, beautifully crafted by the Dutch artisan Frans Reijnier of Holland Magic Studio. Frans produced a fine line of elegant, well‑engineered magic, and it’s a real shame he no longer seems to be in business. What makes this version so strong is its simplicity: nothing is added, nothing taken away, and there’s zero reset — a stark contrast to the later, inspired Crystal Cleaver from Tenyo. Although most versions of the Ring Tower are presented as a penetration, Grosskopf’s original effect was actually a ring vanish and reproduction from an impossible location. You can perform either approach, but I prefer the vanish-and-appearance presentation. It gives fewer clues, feels cleaner, and strengthens the mystery by shifting the audience’s attention away from the tower itself. You place the tube over the glass case and push the wand thru both holes, you then show everybody that the wand is preventing the lid of the glass case from opening. You remove the wand, remove the tube and place the ring inside the glass case. The glass case is now covered with the tower-tube and tower-lid. The magic wand is pushed thru both holes in the tube and a magical pass is made over the tower. When the tower is now lifted the glass case is EMPTY! When the tower-lid is removed the ring is hanging on the wand … impossible as both items are solid!
