Hand carved ong handled wooden scoops from Norfolk and Suffolk wood, by Ewen Brown. Each of these scoops is made from wood which can be traced back to the area it was felled, bringing history to each piece. All scoops are made from sustainable wood and finished with food-safe oil. Designed for everyday use, each scoop is individually shaped and finished by hand, celebrating the natural character of the wood and the beauty of functional design. Working closely with small local sawmills and arborists, Ewen sources timber from local farmland and storm-fallen trees that would otherwise be lost to waste. Every scoop can be traced back to the area where the tree once grew, giving each piece its own unique story and connection to the landscape. Traditional and contemporary woodworking techniques are combined throughout the making process, using hand tools and carefully considered methods that prioritise quality over speed. Each scoop is finished with a handmade blend of food-safe beeswax and flaxseed oil, enhancing the grain while providing a durable finish for everyday use. Founded on the principles of craftsmanship, sustainability, and a circular economy, these scoops are made to be used, treasured and enjoyed for years to come. Approximate Dimensions: 1.
