About our signature water-resistant cotton fabric: It is made from extra thin and long staple cotton fibers in a very tight and traditional weaving technique. After drying, the fabric opens its pores to breathe. When wet, the coated cotton fibers swell, sealing the fabric and making it water-repellent. About our sheep wool thermal insulation: The sheep's wool is the classic in the field of natural wool. Due to its curling, it forms a cold and heat insulating air cushion and can thus balance out temperatures very well. The "Plein Air" wool comes from France and is processed into a padding for us in Germany. "Plein Air" means "outdoor" because the sheep that come from the Portiers and Limoges area live outdoors all year round.
