Picasso Marble Wolf by Lance Cheama

A dark umber, tan and dark gray colored Picasso marble wolf with turquoise inlaid eyes carved by Lance Cheama. Lance carved intricate fur all over the body excluding the face where incised whiskers and an incised x shaped snout/mouth give this guy intensity. The feet are all carved in the round with a largve fluffy tail that starts height and ends low. For the Zuni, the wolf represents loyalty, family devotion, and the strength of the community. Because wolves mate for life and hunt together in packs, the Zuni see them as ultimate symbols of lifelong partnership, cooperation, and group survival.
