Strymon AA.1 Amplifier Attenuator for Eurorack Module
The Strymon AA.1 Amplifier Attenuator is a compact 4HP Eurorack utility module designed to bridge the gap between guitar/pedal-level gear and modular synthesis systems. It provides clean, bidirectional level conversion so you can confidently integrate external instruments, pedals, and audio interfaces with Eurorack without clipping or signal loss. At its core, the AA.1 functions as both a precision amplifier and attenuator, handling the major level mismatch between consumer audio equipment and modular gear. The 1/4” stereo input boosts instrument-level signals by +18 dB, making them suitable for Eurorack processing. Conversely, the 1/8” inputs reduce Eurorack-level signals by -18 dB, safely converting them back down for guitar pedals, amps, or recording interfaces. Key Features Bidirectional signal conversion between guitar/pedal level and Eurorack level audio +18 dB input gain stage for bringing guitars, basses, and pedals up to modular level -18 dB attenuation stage for safely outputting Eurorack signals to external gear Stereo 1/4” and 1/8” connectivity for flexible routing (mono compatible via left channel) High-headroom design to prevent clipping when interfacing mismatched signal levels Wide frequency response (20 Hz – 20 kHz) for full-range audio fidelity Low power draw from Eurorack system (+12V / -12V, ~10 mA each rail) Compact 4HP form factor, ideal for tight utility spaces in modular racks Designed for seamless integration of pedals, audio interfaces, guitars, and Eurorack systems
