18″ ‘New Moon’ Shamanic Drum. Reindeer with Black Moonstone crystal handle

This is an 18-inch shamanic drum made from Reindeer rawhide and is a special drum as it was birthed at the time of the New Moon. The New Moon is when the night sky was at its darkest and this hide is particularly dark to reflect this. We have placed a black moonstone crystal in the handle. We have also painted an owl motif on the inside of the wooden hoop, with owl being the master of the dark. The hoop is English Ash waxed with beeswax from rescued bees, and the tension ring is wrapped in suede with fluffy fabric finishing off the handle so that it is really comfortable to hold. Black moonstone evokes the energy of the Dark Moon. This is a time for inner reflection and tuning into that innate wisdom that lies deep within. Black moonstone is a warrior stone, as the spiritual journey is not for the faint-hearted. It involves facing hard truths and changing old patterns that are holding us back from our souls true desires. Black moonstone can help process emotional and ingrained belief systems to move through to a more complete version of ourselves.
