Birger Kaipiainen - Viola Wall Plate Arabia Finland

Birger Kaipiainen (1915-1988) is one of the most successful and well known ceramic artists in Finland. One of his more famous art works is the "Pansy sea" (Orvokkimeri) for the World Fair in 1967 in Montreal, a wall installation with numerous different sized Viola flowers. This Viola flower is ca 28 x 25,5cm and ca 6,5cm in depth. The plate is equipped with its original hanging system. The plate is in an excellent condition.
