For as long as I can remember, I've dreamt of a little house nestled amongst them — a vision shaped by childhood and the happiest moments spent on our family's farm in the Cederberg. The morning sun stretching out over the burnt orange berg marked the best part of every day. Little House and The Berg — berg meaning mountain in Afrikaans — is a nostalgic look both backward and forward. Capturing that lasting sense of connection to mountain and home. The house is small by design. The mountain is not. I loved the meditative quality that came through each line, and the way the composition's quiet simplicity holds space for both memory and longing simultaneously. For anyone who has ever felt small beside something enormous and beautiful — and grateful for it.
