The Macallan 15YO Colour Collection

Located on a 390-acre estate in the Scottish Highlands near Craigellachie, The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 and was one of the first Scottish distilleries to be legally licensed. Macallan has built its enviable reputation by focusing on quality. It is one of the most sought-after whiskies for collectors. The Macallan invests a lot of time and effort into sourcing and making casks, so much so that it is the only Scotch distiller with a dedicated Master of Wood: Stuart MacPherson. The Macallan Colour Collection 15 Years Old is part of The Macallan’s Colour Collection series, created to celebrate the natural colour derived entirely from sherry-seasoned oak cask maturation. Matured for 15 years in a combination of European and American oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain. The nose opens with aromas of dried fruits, raisins, figs, vanilla, orange peel, honey, and polished oak, accompanied by hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, the whisky is smooth and rounded with flavors of toffee, caramelized citrus, baked apple, milk chocolate, sweet oak spice, and sherry-soaked dried fruits. Layers of ginger, cinnamon, and roasted nuts add warmth and complexity while maintaining a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is medium to long, elegant and gently spiced, lingering with oak, cocoa, dried fruit sweetness, and soft citrus zest. Add to Wishlist
