Craft Kit - Katie the Cat

This gourd DIY craft kit makes an adorable cat design made from hard-shell gourds grown right here on our farm in Pennsylvania. The cat is approximately 4" in diameter and the finished cat stands approximately 7.5" tall. These gourds come with their exterior cleaned and ready to paint, stain, wood burn, or decorate in any way you like. Our photos show finished examples for inspiration, but your kit arrives unfinished with everything you need to create your own one-of-a-kind cat design. Kit Includes: Cat head gourd Cat body gourd 2 wooden cat ears Wood donut base Ribbon Battery-operated tealight Tacky Glue with glue swab Instructions for crafting This kit does not include paint. Crafting with Gourds: Crafting with hard-shell gourds is similar to crafting with wood. Any paints, dyes, or stains that work well on wood will work on your gourd craft. If you use dyes or stains, we recommend finishing with a coat of polycrylic or polyurethane to seal your design. Because this design is crafted using a natural gourd, each piece is ever so slightly different, making for a unique artisan piece with natural variance in color and size.
