Found exclusively in Te Waipounamu (the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand) pounamu is a taonga (treasure) that was prized as both currency and a means of coalescing Māori whakapapa (birthright and genealogy) and pounamu that was handed down through generations was the most revered. Our pounamu comes in varying shades including Kahurangi, a lighter, brighter stone and Kawakawa, a darker stone, sometimes with small dark flecks. Due to the organic nature of pounamu, each stone will vary slightly. Available in sterling silver and 23CT gold plate. Stone: D/ SI Lab diamonds 0.24 total diamond carat weight.
