Our journey began with generous neighbors who invited us to forage from their backyard trees, and continued through visits to local U-Pick farms across Oregon’s lush farmland. Each season brings a different harvest, and with it, a new batch of Random Fruit Jam—made from whatever fruit is ripe, abundant, and full of flavor. Jam-making itself is a tradition that started long before Oregon, in Singapore, with Mama Ong. She taught us the quiet kitchen alchemy of working with real fruit—how sugar and natural pectin transform fresh ingredients into something vibrant, rich, and deeply satisfying. That same philosophy carries through every jar we make today. Now, in North Portland, we continue that tradition using fruit gathered at its peak—sometimes from neighbors, sometimes from farms, always kissed by the Oregon sun.
