Flock EweNiversity at Peninsula Flock Knits Crochet FUNdamentals 2 Daisy Tee A light, lacy cotton tee with options for cropped or full-length shirts. This beginner-friendly tee is worked in two flat panels with no shaping, an easy introduction to crocheting tops. SKILLS TAUGHT In this class, you will be learning how to read a crochet pattern, foundation single crochet and basic garment construction CLASS TIMES 11:30 - 1:00, Wednesdays DATES 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, and 7/1 (skip 6/24) CLASS SIZE 5 students (age 16+) maximum. A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held. FEE $150 for four 90-minutes classes SKILL LEVEL Intermediate beginner; must know how to chain, single, and double crochet. MATERIALS US Size F / 3.75 mm mm crochet hook Removable stitch markers Tapestry needle for weaving in ends Scissors Tape measure or ruler Students can purchase crochet hooks from Peninsula Flock Knits HERE. YARN Fingering weight yarn (we suggest either Comfort and Joy Enjoy (100g - 463 yards) (you can purchase it HERE) or West Yorkshire Spinners Exquisite (100g - 440 yards) (you can purchase it HERE). Please refer to the sizing information taken from the pattern to determine how much yarn you need to purchase for your size. The amount will vary also depending upon whether you are making a cropped or full-length tee. Students should plan to purchase their yarn before the first class. SIZING AND YARN REQUIREMENTS Sizing follows the Craft Yarn Council’s standards for Women’s sizes. This tee has a loose, oversized fit, with about 5” to 9” (about 12.5-23 cm) of positive ease. If you are between sizes, size up if you want a much looser-fitting tee, or size down if you want a more fitted tee. Measure the bust of the wearer, and choose the size that is closest to the wearer’s bust measurement, under the title “To Fit Bust”. Instructions and yarn requirements for size X-Small are given outside the parentheses, with Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X given inside the parentheses, like this: X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X). When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.
