Macallan Easter Elchies Black 2020 Release

DESCRIPTION The third and final release in Macallan's limited annual Easter Elchies Black series, a Speyside single malt inspired by the autumnal firelight of Easter Elchies House, the distillery's historic home. Matured in hand-selected sherry seasoned casks, producing a richer, fuller-bodied character with a distinctive smoky profile uncommon in the core range. Only 3,480 bottles were released. Naturally coloured and bottled at a higher strength of 50%. TASTING NOTES Nose: Smoked toffee, orange and raisin with oak spice, ginger warmth and herbal hints. Palate: Warming ginger, cinnamon, polished oak and smoked orange peel with subtle herbal notes. Finish: Sweet and smoky with lingering peat, cardamom and creamy dark chocolate nuances.
