Roseberry Topping Sunset Canvas Print 486

Roseberry Topping Sunset – North Yorkshire Panoramic Canvas Print 486 Believe it or not, this photograph of Roseberry Topping was three years in the making! I knew exactly where I wanted to take it from, and I wanted the heather in full flower, with the golden evening sunshine catching the cliffs on the right. My first attempt involved a two-and-a-half-hour drive from home, followed by a three-mile walk in completely the wrong direction. I eventually turned around to discover Roseberry Topping behind me. What an idiot! The second trip wasn’t much better. I’d left home in perfect weather, only to arrive to 60mph winds and sideways rain. Finally, the following year, I made it back. It was still blowing a gale, so I needed a really fast shutter speed to stop the heather and branches from moving, but I finally got the photograph I’d had in my head for three years. This Roseberry Topping panoramic canvas print captures the beautiful North Yorkshire landscape in the evening sunshine, with the heather in bloom. Sometimes landscape photography really does test your patience!
