Vintage Rustic Painted Shop Chest of Drawers Sideboard 2310g

A wonderfully characterful vintage chest of drawers, originally used as a shop fitting, featuring beautifully timeworn pale blue paintwork, a richly aged timber top and six generously proportioned drawers with original brass shell handles. The heavily distressed paintwork has faded naturally over the years, revealing glimpses of timber beneath and creating a lovely patchwork of colour, scuffs and marks. The substantial timber top has developed a beautiful warm, mellow finish, with attractive grain and an abundance of authentic vintage character. All six drawers feature traditional dovetail joints, providing plenty of practical storage, while the simple, substantial design gives the piece a wonderfully rustic, utilitarian feel. – Beautifully Preserved Vintage Condition – Carefully cleaned and sympathetically restored in our workshop, the original distressed paintwork has been left untouched, preserving its wonderful aged character. The timber top has been oiled and waxed, while all six drawers have been checked and drawer stops repaired where necessary. A new back and timber plinth have also been fitted. Presented in lovely vintage condition, with the marks, scratches, worn paint and imperfections you would expect from a genuine former shop fitting. Please take a close look through all photographs, as these form an important part of the description. Incredibly versatile, this fabulous chest would make a wonderful addition to a living room, bedroom, hallway or home office, combining generous storage with distinctive vintage charm.
