Honey from ByBi’s apiaries on Bygdøy, where bees gather nectar among fruit trees, flower meadows and lush gardens surrounding Gartneriet, Oscarshall and Kongsgården. Kongsgården Honey brings together honey from all three apiaries. Their varied surroundings offer the bees a rich diversity of blossoms throughout the season. Gartneriet ByBi’s main educational apiary is surrounded by ash, elm, fruit trees and currant bushes. Here, modern beehives stand alongside traditional and unusual hive designs. Oscarshall Five bee colonies thrive in a lush oasis overlooking Oscarshall Palace. Wild cherry trees fill the area with pink blossoms, much to the bees’ delight. Kongsgården Within the royal estate, five bee colonies sit beneath ash, hazel and maple trees, overlooking flower meadows. In spring, blue scilla flowers carpet the ground, followed by plum blossoms and a changing abundance of flowers throughout the summer.
