LOT. 628 - SHAWL COLLAR
Inspired by the distinctive Grizzly jackets of the 1930s, originally worn by motorists and outdoorsmen, these striking civilian garments combined leather with fur-on-hide panels for warmth, durability and unmistakable character. This one-off iteration of our Lot 628 features rich seal brown leather contrasted with dark brown shearling, creating a sharp, understated appearance. Uniquely appointed with a shawl collar and adjustable cuff straps, it is the only example we have produced in this configuration. Lined in our grey herringbone wool for additional warmth, this is a substantial winter jacket that remains true to its interwar heritage.
