Weave - original painting

Weave — Original Landscape Painting Weave is an original acrylic and mixed media painting by Michael Sutherland, bringing together rolling hills, patterned fields and a glowing pink and gold sky. Sweeping lines guide the eye through rich green farmland, warm orange slopes and ribbons of pink, towards blue hills in the distance. Dark trees and hedgerows give structure to the flowing landscape, while layered colour and expressive marks bring texture and depth. Continuing Michael’s evolving landscape direction, Weave explores how the shapes of the countryside intertwine. Its rhythmic composition and uplifting palette make it a colourful focal point, with details that reward a closer look. Painted on a chunky, gallery-quality canvas, it comes in a wooden float frame finished with clear varnish to reveal the natural grain. The frame sits halfway up the canvas depth, allowing the artwork to project forwards for a contemporary finish. Weave is one of three companion paintings alongside Tapestry and Patchwork. All three share the same canvas size and complement one another beautifully. They can be purchased individually or together to display as a trio.
