Now available! Billet front uprights for the 2015-2023 S550 Mustang GT. These uprights are primarily for geometry correcting based on fitting common 18" wheel sizes but have other features including steering ratio adjustment and increased strut clearance. Here are specific details, Roll Center Correction 35mm Correction Limited by 18" wheel inner hoop clearance at Tie-Rod. Steering Ratio Change Reduced from 15:1 to 14:1 This matches that change from S550 to S650 20mm Strut Offset The strut is pushed inboard 12.5mm measured at the upper bolt 20mm is measured relative to standard GT Uprights. On a Mach1 the added clearance is 12.5mm. Angle corrected for standard camber range 10mm Wheel Bearing Offset Running square wheels, mustangs end up needing Upwards of 20mm of front wheel spacer. Wheel bearings mount 10mm further outboard reducing amount of wheel spacer needed. Stainless Inserts for Ball Joint Tapers Standard uprights use a ~7 degees taper (Technically 1.5" over 12"). In aluminum this taper is too shallow causing high stress and chance of creep or elongating the hole. To change this to pure hoop stress we use a slotted stainless insert. For reference, different OEMs have different solutions to the taper issue Corvette and Porsche use steel inserts. Often knurled and pressed in permanently Ford GT350 and GT500 double the slope to ~14.1 degrees Mach1 Wheel Bearings Swap to the stronger Mach1 wheel bearings Both: PR3Z-1109-D Mach1/MagRide ABS Sensors With the Mach1 Wheel bearing the corresponding ABS sensor is needed. It has the same chassis side connector as all other Mustangs. Right: JR3Z-2C204-A Left: JR3Z-2C204-A Weight difference Weight from Mach1 to SSB Billet is 3lbs lighter. Dropping bare body from 10.5lbs to 7.5lbs. Reduced by 30% Unsure on the standard GT combined weight.
