The ship hasn't noticed yet. Timascus is layered titanium alloys forge-welded into a single billet, then heat-colored by hand in the shop. No paint, no plating, no coating. The purple, blue and gold are oxide on bare titanium, pulled out of the metal with flame and timing. A few seconds too long and the piece goes back to raw. No two leave the torch the same, and there is no way to make them match. Every piece has different coloring and patterns. Truly 1 of 1. The front carries the full scene. Tentacles rise and coil on the left, suckers cut in detail, the tips curling over like they're deciding. The ship sits on the right, every sail full, cut in fine hatch linework. The waves roll beneath both, and the sky behind the ship is engraved deep and dark so the hull and rigging stand out in silhouette. The banding in the Timascus runs straight through the engraving, so the sea looks like it's moving even when the golf ball marker is sitting still. The back is stripped to the Kraken mark cut clean through the center, so the layers show all the way to the core. The scalloped EDC edge is milled, not stamped. The banding runs through the full thickness, so the pattern on the rim is the pattern inside the metal. Pocket it, drop it, grind it against loose change for a decade. It doesn't wear off because it was never on. It's in. Calm on the surface.
