Mercedes S500/S550 Catless Downpipes 2014-2017 (M278 W222) | WSTN Performance

More flow, more sound and more power from the M278 twin-turbo V8. WSTN Performance catless downpipes with H-pipe crossover for the Mercedes-Benz S500 and S550 (W222 sedan, M278 4.7 twin-turbo V8). They replace the restrictive factory downpipes with free-flowing stainless steel downpipes, heat shielded as standard. The result is more flow, a louder and deeper V8 note, quicker turbo response and a cooler engine bay. Select your car below, enter your VIN, and we double check fitment before your order ships. Why Upgrade? ✓ More Flow: Free-flowing stainless steel downpipes replace the restrictive factory section, so there is nothing in the way of the exhaust gas leaving the turbos. ✓ More Sound: A deeper, louder V8 note when you are on the throttle and more character when you lift off. The sound the factory system holds back. ✓ More Power: Less restriction means the turbos spool quicker and the M278 makes more power through the rev range. ✓ Less Heat: Heat shielding fitted as standard keeps the heat inside the pipe, so your engine bay runs cooler than it would without it. ✓ Perfect Fit: Use the car selector on this page to confirm your model and year, and enter your VIN so we can double check fitment. If entered, your VIN is submitted with your order at checkout. What's In the Box ✓ 1 x WSTN Performance S500/S550 W222 M278 catless downpipe set with H-pipe crossover Installation ✓ Replaces the factory downpipes between the turbos and the mid pipe ✓ Factory oxygen sensors transfer across to the new pipes ✓ Professional installation recommended ✓ Delivers the most when paired with a tune Heat Shielding ✓ Cooler engine bay: Heat shielding stops the heat coming off the pipe from spreading into the bay, so your engine bay runs cooler than it would without it. ✓ Less heat soak: Hoses, wiring, sensors and the rubber and plastic parts near the exhaust take on less heat, which helps them last. ✓ Factory approach: The same principle used on factory exhaust systems, a barrier between hot metal and the rest of the bay. ✓ Heat stays in the pipe: Keeping heat in the exhaust stream instead of radiating it out supports flow through the pipe.
