A downloadable file kit for making a bellows-blown set of Scottish smallpipes in D, with a chanter and three drones. Print the rigid parts, make the bag and bellows, then assemble and set up the instrument. The original Lindstruments design has historical-style drone & chanter bores and chanter scale layout. Included in the £40 download 87 STL files: 48 core components, three optional plain drone receivers, nine OR2-C2 reed-body options and 27 flat tongue blanks. 13 DXF patterns and nine SVG tongue templates. The matching 50-page illustrated making and setup guide, parts index and file checksums. Making the set You supply printing material, leather, 6 mm plywood, hose, a chanter reed, hemp, adhesives and the hardware specified in the guide. The OR2-C2 drone reeds are for makers with reedmaking experience or practical tuition; bought drone reeds are another option. The guide covers the 3.5 mm working bore, M5 × 0.8 × 6 mm flat-point stainless grub screws, a 2.5 mm Allen key, and two 7.5 mm inside-diameter × 1 mm cross-section NBR 70A O-rings per reed. The stainless screw can gently form the thread in PLA; a separate tap is optional. Follow the guide for preparation, fitting, tongue sanding and setup. This is a digital download, not a finished instrument or a box of physical parts.
