Brahmaea hearseyi (unmounted)
A real Owl Moth (Brahmaea hearseyi), dried with open wings and unmounted (not pinned), ready for your insect collection or your next pinning project. Wavy chocolate, cream and golden bands with big owl-eye spots on the forewings make it one of the most detailed moth patterns in any moth collection. Brahmaea hearseyi is the largest member of the owl moth family Brahmaeidae. Our specimens come from our own breeding, not from the wild, and every moth is prepared by hand in our small workshop in Central Europe.
