The Pelikan M200 Pyrite fountain pen is the newest Special Edition, to compliment the 2026 Ink of the Year colour. The M200 fountain pen has a gold-plated steel nib as standard, in a choice of widths from EF to B. The ink filling mechanism is Pelikan's trademark differential piston, meaning it can only be used with bottled ink. The M200 is glossy, polished resin with gold glittery particles inside. It comes with a matching screw-on cap. The pocket clip is gold-plated steel and shaped like a pelican's beak - which is a great design touch. Supplied in a choice of unique gift box, either the pen alone or with a bottle of the Pyrite ink of the year (for extra cost) Weight - 14g | Length (Cap Closed) -12.5cm | Length (Cap Posted) - 15cm Pelikan's story originates in 1838 when chemist Carl Hornemann founded a small company to produce ink and water colours. Based out of Hanover, Germany, the Pelikan logo itself is borne from his family's coat of arms and is now synonymous with one of the oldest brands in Germany. Pelikan are famed for their 1929 invention of the differentiated piston filling mechanism. In the following decades, the company established its international reputation for manufacturing high-quality, plush fountain pens.
