eBook Beyond The Cold Stories From Syria's Displaced - Siti Sakinah Meor Omar

What does it mean to survive a freezing winter without a safe home, sufficient food, or the certainty of what tomorrow may bring? Beyond the Cold: Stories from Syria’s Displaced is a deeply personal humanitarian journal that offers readers a glimpse into the harsh realities faced by Syrians living in displacement. Written from Siti Sakinah Meor Omar Baki’s firsthand experiences during humanitarian missions in Syria and Lebanon, this ebook goes beyond the story of winter. It explores loss, resilience, trauma, compassion and the enduring hope of people forced to leave their homes. Through heartfelt stories of children, families and refugees, readers will discover the challenges of living in fragile shelters, struggling to access food and education and surviving the lasting effects of war. This ebook also shares Siti Sakinah’s experiences delivering humanitarian aid, including food and winter supplies, as well as efforts to provide safer and more dignified living conditions for displaced communities.
