Omega Speedmaster Titanium 'Anniversary Series'

3…2…1…Liftoff! Take a poll amongst wristwatch collectors, and we'd bet the consensus would be that there's more important or iconic in a watch collection than an Omega Speedmaster. Sure, chronographs such as the Rolex Daytona or the Heuer Carrera are classics — icons, even — but neither can match the stature of the Speedy with regards to its importance in history. In fact, arguably no watch can. This particular Speedmaster, a Reference 321.90.44.52.01.001, dates to circa 2010s and was released to commemorate the Solar Impulse project and its aspiration to fly around the world powered by nothing but solar energy. It features a variety of unique details including a titanium case measuring over 44.25mm, a black carbon fiber dial, GMT hand set with an airplane motif, and a seal on the caseback to memorialize the project. However, even casual Speedy fans will no doubt recognize its black tachymeter-scale bezel, recessed chronograph subdials, luminous indices, and underlying architecture. Everyone should own a Speedster at one point in their collecting endeavors. It's not only one of the most significant chronographs of all time, it is one of the most significant watches of all time!
