Ochiba Koi 20cm Nisai – Oofuchi (EK7156) | Japanese Koi UK

Ochiba Koi – 20cm Nisai from Oofuchi Introducing EK7156, a beautifully patterned 20cm Nisai Ochiba from Oofuchi Koi Farm in Japan, available from Elite Koi & Ponds for £115. Ochiba Shigure, often shortened to Ochiba, is a distinctive Japanese koi variety celebrated for its combination of smoky grey or blue-grey colouring and warm brown markings. Its name is commonly translated as "fallen autumn leaves", reflecting the beautiful seasonal appearance of this variety. This particular Ochiba features an attractive grey base with irregular copper-brown markings across the head, shoulders and body. The contrasting colours create a natural, flowing pattern, while the neatly arranged scales and balanced fins add to its appeal. At 20cm and Nisai, EK7156 is an interesting addition for koi keepers who enjoy natural colour combinations and individually distinctive patterns. Its colours and overall appearance may continue to develop as the koi matures, depending on genetics, pond conditions and husbandry.
