Comfrey root consists of 15% mucilage, which contains, among other things, allantoin, silicon, asparagine, amino acids, tannins, fructans, essential oils, polyphenols, and beta-sitosterol. It is mainly used for skin problems and joint complaints. It has an anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect and can be applied topically to painful areas. It has a warming effect and has a positive influence on the skin's regeneration processes. Comfrey also has astringent and wrinkle-reducing properties. The macerate is obtained by macerating comfrey root in cold-pressed organic sunflower oil (1:3). It contains fatty acids, minerals, and allantoin. The macerate has strong antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, regenerating, and pain-relieving properties. It can have a positive effect on relieving swelling and injuries, soothe redness, and alleviate burning. After use, the skin is moisturized, smoother, and supple.
