ORDINARY FITS A Japanese brand founded in 2008 under the concept of “clothes you will still want to wear 10 years from now.” Rooted in simplicity, the brand places particular emphasis on silhouette and sewing. Its quality has been cultivated over many years at the brand’s own factory in Kojima, Okayama, one of Japan’s renowned denim-producing regions. Rather than creating disposable clothing driven by trends, ORDINARY FITS makes pieces designed to become part of the wearer’s everyday life. Soft, relaxed 12oz denim with the feel of well-worn vintage. Updated from the previous 14oz fabric to approximately 12oz selvedge denim. Rather than simply reducing the weight, the original warp yarn is retained while a finer weft yarn is used to recreate the light, soft feel of vintage denim whose threads have naturally thinned through years of wear. The fabric is also left unsinged, intentionally retaining a slightly fuzzy surface for an authentic vintage character rarely found in new denim. It retains the unmistakable feel of denim while remaining soft and easy to wear from day one. Authentic fading that looks years in the making. The USED finish combines machine processing with handwork to create natural tonal variation and realistic wear marks. Though brand new, the denim has the rich character of a pair worn regularly for years. Classic details reminiscent of vintage denim. The front features a classic button fly, fitted with custom-made iron hardware including a top button and small tack buttons engraved with the brand name. V-shaped stitching beside the top button adds another vintage denim detail, carefully recreating the character of classic styles. Turn up the hem or coin pocket to reveal the selvedge, adding a subtle classic touch. An easy, moderately loose straight fit Cut with comfortable room from the waist through the legs without becoming excessively wide, the silhouette stays close to a classic straight fit. The natural twist of the fabric is intentionally retained, creating the dimensional character associated with vintage denim.
