A cutting wheel, a mini mallet, bladeless scissors and a stainless steel shape cutter, which between them cover most of what a child wants to do to a lump of dough. The mallet gets used the most. There is real satisfaction in flattening a ball of dough with one good whack, and it happens to be excellent for building hand strength. The wheel cuts long clean lines, which takes a steadier hand than you would expect. The scissors have no blade at all. Their cutting edge is wood, blunt and rounded, so it presses through dough, and all that opening and closing builds the grip a child needs for a pencil later. The shape cutter is the one that turns a flat slab into whatever they have decided it is. The mallet is 15cm long and the wheel about 16cm, both sized for a small grip. All FSC certified beechwood, sanded smooth, no sharp edges anywhere. Grain and colour vary a little from piece to piece, which is wood being wood. Designed in Australia and ethically made.
