Polaroid Image Elite

1990's polaroid camera Polaroid Image Elite is an automatic instant camera from Polaroid's Image/Spectra family. Its distinctive folding body protects the lens and controls when the camera is closed, while opening the camera prepares it for use. The camera was designed to make instant photography simple. It automatically manages focusing and exposure, while the integrated electronic flash provides additional illumination when required. After the shutter is released, the motorized mechanism ejects the photograph from the front of the camera. Unlike Polaroid 600 cameras, the Image Elite uses the wider rectangular Spectra/Image film format. This produces a broader image area particularly well suited to portraits, group photographs and compositions with more horizontal space.
