VINTAGE 1930’s ROLEX ‘ROLCO’ LARGE GENTLEMEN’S WATCH ORIGINAL GLOSSY BLACK DIAL. This charming Rolex ‘Rolco’ was manufactured for the British market in the early 1930’s. The large ‘cushion’ style case measures 32mm across, not including the crown and 36mm tip-to-tip. The strap lugs are 20mm wide on the inside. The rolled-gold case is in absolutely beautiful original condition, un-polished and with no dings or serious scratches. The fixed wire strap lugs are still in perfect condition. The glass is the original and is un-scratched. Winding crown also looks to be the original. Fully signed inside the back Rolex along with the R.W.C stamp. The original glossy black dial is simply stunning, no question. Immaculate in every respect, With contrasting polished gold baton divisions and subsidiary seconds circle. Signed simply ‘Rolco’ with Swiss made under six. ‘Quartered’ in typical Rolex fashion of the 1920’s and 30’s. Signed by the maker ‘Rolex watch co. – Rolco’ with Swiss made under six. The movement is of very nice quality, as you would expect from Rolex. With 15 jewels, running very well, winds and sets as it should (a hair had fallen into the movement during photography, we removed that before re-fitting the back). Complete with what appears to be the original leather strap and rolled-gold buckle. A very stylish watch which is in exceptional condition considering it’s age.
