Porsche 356 | Blue-Grey | Screen Print

The bluey-grey tones are all inspired by the aluminium body of the 356. This is a 9-layer hand-pulled screenprint and unlike digital prints, each print is made entirely by hand meaning each one will be slightly different to the others in this very small edition. The various parts used to make up this image were multiple drawings done by hand with fineliner pens and a bamboo dip pen, paintings created with ink and brushes and paper stencils cut by hand. The painted and drawn elements were then transferred onto screens to create intricate stencils and the paper stencils were physically applied to the underneath of a screen. Each layer of ink was then mixed and physically printed by hand. It's very labour-intensive but it's also a labour of love!
