It works as intended on standard double baskets. If you only ever pull single shots, this may not be the right tamp for you. Chrome-plated disc: the levelling disc has a chrome-plated finish rather than the stainless or aluminium finish on our standard tampers - a cosmetic difference, not a functional one. How it works A calibrated spring self-levelling tamper takes the guesswork out of tamping. You press down until the internal spring clicks, and it applies the same consistent pressure on every shot - no more heavy-handed or uneven tamps. The self-levelling head also settles flat against the coffee bed, so your puck ends up level even if your hand isn't perfectly square. Consistent pressure and a level puck are two of the biggest levers on repeatable espresso, and this tool handles both for you.
