Sari silk chiffon rolls. Pure silk fabric. 3.5 inch wide.
A bundle of colour, fabulous prints and beautiful imperfections in each of these rolls. These recycled sari silk fabric rolls are handmade in India using layers of reclaimed sari chiffon fabrics. Each roll is completely unique and pot luck with incredible mixtures of prints, colours and occasional frayed edges revealing different fabrics as you work your way through it. I source my sari silk textiles directly from makers and women's groups in India. Using discarded and surplus sari fabrics giving these beautiful textiles another life while creating something wonderfully individual for artists, makers and textile designers. Expect muted and jewel tones, earth shades, and unexpected combinations. No two rolls are ever the same and that is very much part of the charm. Perfect for textile art, weaving, crochet, patchwork quilts, wall hangings, mixed media, jewellery, embellishments, and experimental fibre art. The fabric is recycled and handmade rather than factory made perfection. You may find loose ends, raw edges, joins and variations in width and colours which is part of the beauty of working with reclaimed textiles. Ethically sourced since 2008 we specialise in unusual, recycled and planet conscious fibres. 100g roll approx 40 metres.
