Capitol Reef Gifford House Magnet

Jorgen Jorgensen and his family occupied the homestead from 1916 to 1928 when when it was purchased by his son-in-law, Dewey Gifford. For 41 years the Giffords raised a variety of animals, grew crops, and maintined orchards on their farm. Today their legacy is preserved within the structures, lands, and orchards of Capitol Reef National Park.
