2026 Orange Shirt Day Package

Orange Shirt Day, observed on September 30, was inspired by the story of Residential School Survivor Phyllis Webstad, whose new orange shirt was taken away on her first day at school when she was six years old. Today, the orange shirt has become an internationally recognized symbol that reminds us that Every Child Matters, and encourages people to learn the truth of this history through the voices of Survivors. This year for Orange Shirt Day we are offering a bundle of books and resources written by Phyllis Webstad and Kristy McLeod to help spread awareness about Residential Schools, and support Truth and Reconciliation efforts in Canada.
