Put a Lid On It with Lynette Andreasen - ONLINE
This is an online seat for a live workshop being held at our Texas workshop! Looking to join us in person? In-studio seats are available at this link! This is one of Lynette Andreasen's most popular classes, and we're delighted that she's bringing it to The Makery! In this fabrication intensive, we will learn to build small metal containers with tension-fitted lids. Along the way, Lynette will cover die forming with a hydraulic press, scoring and bending for angular boxes, larger-scale soldering, tension-fit lid construction, and hollow construction. Will you make a pillbox, poison ring, or treasure box? The choice is yours! This is an intermediate to advanced skills workshop, and students must have solid foundational fabrication skills including soldering, sawing, filing, and finishing. PLUS: The entire workshop will be recorded in close-up high definition video, and all students receive 30 days access to the recordings on our virtual learning platform at no additional cost! Information about taking workshops with us can be found at this link. Workshop fee (non-taxable): $585 Friday - Sunday August 14 - 16, 2026 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (central) daily
