The Two Hundred Yard Stare - Poster

A British redcoat witnesses his first combat at the Battle of Bunker Hill, 1775. He is exhausted and afraid as his comrades storm the rebel earthworks, and stands alone amidst the dying and the dead. This beautifully haunting original artwork by Manuel Krommenacker is inspired by the lived experience of the common soldiery during the eighteenth century, and is inspired by Thomas Lea's "Two Thousand Yard Stare", helping us to understand that regardless of a conflict's setting, cause, or mean, the horrors of war are timeless.
