DUPONT BETASEAL™ U-428+ HV is a professional-grade, high-viscosity polyurethane adhesive designed for windshields, back glass, quarter glass, and other direct-glazed stationary automotive glass installations. Its primerless-to-glass formula incorporates glass primer into the urethane, helping streamline installation while providing a strong, dependable bond. This listing includes 10 tubes, making it ideal for professional installers or multiple vehicle installations. Important: A high-thrust, heavy-duty caulking gun is required. A 26:1 ratio caulking gun is recommended. Features & Benefits Professional-grade polyurethane auto glass adhesive Primerless adhesion to glass One-component, conventional-cure formula High-viscosity formula for improved decking and sag resistance Suitable for windshields, backlites, quarter glass, and other stationary automotive glass Can be used for backfilling reveal moldings or trim Moisture-curing formula activated by temperature, humidity, and time Black urethane adhesive for direct glazing and structural bonding applications Package Includes 10 × BETASEAL™ U-428+ HV Adhesive Tubes Most windshield or back-glass installations require approximately 2 tubes; actual usage varies by vehicle. Application Clean all bonding surfaces and remove grease, dust, oil, moisture, and loose material. Apply a continuous triangular bead using a high-thrust, professional caulking gun. Install the glass within the product’s open time and follow the recommended safe drive-away time for the specific installation conditions. Use BETAPRIME™ 5504G primer on exposed bare metal, pinchweld areas, and plastic-encapsulated parts as required for safe adhesion. Helpful Tips This is a high-viscosity (thick) professional adhesive. A 26:1 ratio, heavy-duty, or battery-powered caulking gun is recommended. If using a standard caulking gun, gently warming the cartridge with a hair dryer for approximately 15 minutes may improve flow. Store at room temperature for easier application. Do not allow cartridges to freeze or become excessively cold. The urethane cures from the outside toward the center as moisture from the air diffuses into the adhesive. Higher temperatures and humidity generally reduce cure time. Important Designed for professional automotive glass replacement and stationary glass bonding. Always follow the product label, technical data sheet, vehicle manufacturer’s installation procedures, and safety recommendations to ensure a safe, secure installation.
