Along the Margins, 2026 — Helen Boardman A delicate and closely observed botanical landscape, Along the Margins reflects Helen Boardman's sensitivity to the wildflower-rich edges and hedgerow margins of the Staffordshire countryside. These liminal spaces — the borders between field and path, moorland and lane — are among the most biodiverse and visually rich in the British landscape, and Boardman captures their fleeting, seasonal character with quiet precision. Part of the Autumn Reflections series, 2026. A small series of just 3 paintings paintings reflecting on Autumn. Wedgwood blue skies contrast with the red and yellow ochres of draying bracken and curling leaves. Walking takes a slower pace along and across ploughed fields. Finished pieces developed from plein air work, sketched and saved thoughts whilst our walking in early October 2025 - completed in Spring 2026. All finished with artists professional UV satin varnish and wax.
