Bowmore 16 Year Old Wine Cask Matured

Volume: 700ml / ABV: 53.5% Bowmore 16 Year Old 1992–2008 Wine Cask Matured was distilled in 1992 and matured for 16 years before being bottled in 2008 at 53.5% ABV. The whisky was initially matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels for around six years, before being transferred into Limousin Bordeaux wine casks, where it spent approximately another ten years developing its distinctive character. This extended Bordeaux cask maturation adds layers of ripe red fruits, plum, berry notes and subtle wine tannins to Bowmore’s classic Islay profile of peat smoke, coastal brine and oak.
