Yo Yo Loach

Hardy, beginner-friendly fish. Adult size = 15 cm in length. Omnivores. Ideal water temp: between 24–30°C These loaches are currently about 6-7cm in length and can grow up to 15cm. The Yoyo Loach is a lively and entertaining freshwater fish, named for the distinctive "YOYO" pattern along its silver body. Highly active and social, they do best when kept in groups of 5 or more, where their playful behaviour can be fully appreciated. Yoyo Loaches thrive in well-planted aquariums with driftwood, rocks, caves, and plenty of hiding places. They prefer soft to moderately hard water with a pH of 6.5–7.5 and are excellent scavengers, helping to clean up leftover food while also being well known for controlling pest snail populations. As omnivores, they readily accept sinking pellets, algae wafers, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other quality foods. Regular water changes and good filtration will help keep these active fish healthy and displaying their best colours.
