Versatile Paris Culot Thé

Tea time, but with some nerve. The name is a pun on culotté, French for cheeky, and that's the whole idea. It opens bright and fizzy, with bergamot and mandarin over a splash of tonic. Then comes the tea itself, slightly bitter, softened by jasmine and by osmanthus with its ripe apricot glow. Just as it starts getting polite, a flick of wasabi and ginger wakes everything back up. From there it settles into soft sesame and woods that stay close to the skin. It's fresh, floral and a little spicy, and nothing like the usual clean tea perfumes. It was created by Anne-Sophie Behaghel, co-founder of the studio Flair, and Versatile calls it a neo jasmine. The spray is a slightly smoother take on the original roll-on, so the wasabi gives you a nudge rather than a punch.
