An original Georgian polished cast iron fireplace insert, beautifully enriched with finely cast brass mounts. Combining clean architectural lines with exuberant Rococo-inspired ornament, this fireplace makes a striking focal point while retaining the refined proportions characteristic of the Georgian period. The polished steel frame is bordered by a delicate brass beaded moulding and embellished with slender brass columns. Flowing acanthus foliage and scrolling volutes decorate each upper corner.
